Description
Voices of Hope Lexington Inc seeks a Recovery Coach to provide peer-based support to individuals impacted by addiction. In this community-facing role, you will use your lived experience in sustained recovery to build trusting relationships, offer hope, and foster accountability. Responsibilities include one-on-one coaching, facilitating groups, connecting participants to treatment and community resources, and supporting care plans. You will document services, collaborate with healthcare and social service partners, and advocate for recovery-oriented systems of care. Ideal candidates are in stable recovery, empathetic, organized, and committed to holistic, person-centered support.Provide one-on-one peer recovery coaching to individuals affected by substance use disorder.
Facilitate recovery support groups and educational sessions.
Assist participants in developing and following individualized recovery plans and goals.
Connect individuals to treatment, healthcare, housing, and social service resources.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic or paper records.
Collaborate with clinical, medical, and community partners to coordinate care.
Conduct outreach in community settings to engage and re-engage participants.
Model healthy recovery behaviors and uphold ethical peer support boundaries.
Assist with advocacy and community education events promoting recovery.
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and quality improvement activities.

Knowledge of substance use and recovery pathways

Basic computer and EMR/data entry skills

Kentucky Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or eligibility to obtain
Lived experience of substance use recovery with sustained sobriety (e.g., 1–2 years)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Training in motivational interviewing (preferred)
